Our Faux Locs Service Options
$$MultiPurposeText$$
Choose from Soft Small, Soft Medium, Soft Smedium, and Butterfly locs.
Soft Medium
$200.00Soft locs at medium are the most relaxed size in this family, built with wider sections and a lighter install that sits comfortably even at longer lengths. The locs themselves stay soft and pliable rather than stiff, so they move naturally and are easy to gather up. It is the simplest place to start if you have not worn locs before.
Soft Smedium
$250.00Smedium sits between our small and medium soft locs and is the size most clients find fits them. The locs are fine enough to fall and part like hair, and wide enough that the install stays light on the scalp. If a medium set has ever felt too chunky against your face, this is the correction to make.
Butterfly
Butterfly locs are distinguished by the deliberate loops and loose, distressed texture worked along each loc, which gives the style its soft, undone character instead of a smooth finish. They read lighter and more romantic than a sleek loc and carry a lot of visual texture without much weight. Pricing for this style is not currently listed on the booking page, so get in touch and we will confirm it for the length and size you have in mind.

Faux Locs Frequently Asked Questions
Answers to common questions about styling, care, and booking your faux loc appointment.
Faux locs are temporary styles created by wrapping or crocheting synthetic or natural hair over your own, giving the appearance and movement of locs without permanent locking. Real locs form over time through matting and require long-term commitment and different maintenance.
Faux locs can last anywhere from four to twelve weeks depending on installation method, hair type, daily care, and activity level. Regular maintenance appointments can refresh roots; avoid heavy products and excessive pulling to extend wear and keep your natural hair healthy.
When installed and cared for properly, faux locs are a low-damage protective style. Key factors are not creating excessive tension, maintaining scalp hygiene, and avoiding prolonged heavy wear. Communicate concerns with your stylist to customize size and technique for hair strength and length.
Yes — you can gently wash faux locs using diluted shampoo at the scalp and a light conditioner on the locs, rinsing thoroughly. Pat dry and air-dry or use low heat. Avoid heavy oils, rough rubbing, and frequent over-washing to protect the installation.
Select based on desired thickness, movement, and maintenance: Soft locs come in defined sizes for a classic loc silhouette; Butterfly locs are lighter, textured, and more voluminous. Consider your lifestyle, desired look, and consult our stylist to pick the best size and installation.
While not always required, a consultation helps us assess hair length, condition, and discuss size options like Soft Small or Butterfly. It ensures accurate pricing, time allocation, and a tailored plan to protect your hair and achieve the exact look you want.
